Mothers' Union at St Margaret's

At St. Margaret’s, our Mothers’ Union meets in the Parish Centre on the third Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm.  Most meetings feature a guest speaker, with every conceivable topic being covered.  We have a social evening, fundraising events and get together with other branches at Deanery and Diocesan events.

Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation that has been supporting families worldwide for over 140 years. Started by Mary Sumner in 1876 in her local parish in Winchester, the Mothers' Union has flourished into an international charity with over four million members in 84 countries.

We support Mothers’ Union Charities at home and abroad and in the past we've sent money to the Caravan Fund, Overseas Fund and the General Fund for work in our Diocese.

Some of our members are on the rota of volunteers in the shop and on the front desk at Blackburn Cathedral once or twice a year, meeting and greeting visitors to our Diocese.

Everyone is welcome to come along to any of our meetings and if you decide to become a member we will receive you with open arms.
